There is no easy way to make money. You have to put the time into it if you want to be successful financially or in anything for that matter. Everyone is always searching for a quick buck. Or trying to live off of other people. Then people get stuck in routines to try and survive. They maybe doing okay – decent middle class, making okay financially, but with no ability to grow beyond that “okay” level.
I have been at the poorest level living in Siberia, Russia where we didn’t even have plumbing! There wasn’t even a phone. I see people here complaining about their broken phones or crappy lifestyle or they don’t make enough, but they are too lazy to step forward or too scared to walk out of the shadows. Sometimes you have to be at the lowest possible point in your life to make changes. If it’s comfortable enough for where you are at and you are making your $9.50/ hr (in finance we call that crumbs or babysitting money). It doesn’t pay well.
Sorry if I am harsh here, but I want you to be better. I want you to get to where you want to be in your life and motivate you to get there. The best way to do that is to get away from an hourly job. Now I don’t think there is anything wrong with getting paid per hour or helping others. But if you want better, you need to step forward and make changes where you may be in a worse place than you are now to get to a better place.
I used to work per hour (well kind of). When I did more website development people paid me per project. Now I have been getting away from that for a few years and I spend most of my time creating content, speaking at seminars, writing books, and making videos. The rewards I see from those things are usually months later, but it took the time to get there and build it to where it is stable.
Here is what I love about it. When I wake up or random times of the day I get emails such as this one below:
As you can see this is a subscriber!! What does this mean? Well, every 3 months they will keep sending me money. If I have 100 people that are subscribed per year… at $14.95 every 3 months (or about $60/year) is $6,000. For doing absolutely nothing anymore. Of course I had to setup everything to start, keep them happy, and do a few things here or there, but in reality its consistent income!
What about 500 subscribers? $30,000 a year from one subscription! Not bad right?
For this reason, I try and kick out new books, new content, lots of goodies, and so on. This is where the big money is – it’s about leveraging and then also giving back. But remember one important point. It is always delayed income and delayed gratification. It is never instant gratification. So the things you may be doing now could help you and benefit you 9 months from now, but most people quit before they see results so make sure you have staying power or the extreme will and determination that it takes.
Just a little motivational post today. I hope it gets you fired up! So get to it!
